MPI has developed a prototype for a new net cleaner with electrical RIM-thrusters that is steerable in all directions.

This beltless cleaner will provide efficient cleaning that also enables cleaning of the waterline areas of the net and includes the capacity wash from the outside of the nets, lice skirts and other structures outside the pen.

Powerful but economical, the JetMaster’s RIM-thrusters each provide 54kg of thrust but with total electricity requirement of 17kW and MPI has also developed an alternative canopy with an integrated generator to supply power, in addition to high-pressure water.

RIM thrusters are extremely reliable and have a long durability — only requiring a change of bearings every 1,000 hrs.
